Codex
Install the Clics plugin in Codex so agents can use live analytics while working on your code.
Install the Clics plugin in Codex to give your coding agent access to current projects, analytics, goals, funnels, and visitor sessions. You do not need to edit MCP configuration files or create an API key.
Prerequisites
- A Clics account with at least one project
- Access to plugins in Codex
Install Clics
- Open Codex and go to Plugins
- Search for Clics
- Open the Clics plugin and click Add
- Click Connect, sign in to Clics, and select your workspace
- Start a task and ask Codex to use Clics
Verify the connection
Ask:
“Use Clics to list my projects”
Codex should return the projects available in the workspace you selected.
Example prompts
- “Show visitor and pageview totals for the last 7 days”
- “Compare traffic before and after the latest deployment”
- “Review my goals and funnels for obvious setup gaps”
- “Show the latest visitor session and summarize the journey”
- “Create a page goal for
/trial”
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|

| Sign-in does not complete | Open the Clics plugin and click Connect again |
| The wrong workspace is available | Disconnect Clics, reconnect it, and select the intended workspace |
| Analytics are empty | Confirm the selected project has traffic in the requested date range |
